Split Section or Panel at Intersection

Splits sections or panels at a section/panel intersection.

You are prompted to Select element(s) to split

Note:
The prompt does not display if the section or panel element is already selected.

Click to identify a section or panel to split.

You are then prompted to Select element(s) to split or <Next>

Note:
The prompt does not display if the section or panel element is already selected.

The prompt is repeated, allowing you to identify multiple sections or panels to split.

Input N at the prompt and press Enter to specify the split points.

You are then prompted to Select element(s) to split with or <Plane>

Click to identify an intersecting section or panel to define a split point.

You are then prompted to Select element(s) to split with or <Next>

The prompt is repeated, allowing you to identify multiple sections or panels and define additional split points.

Input N at the prompt and press Enter to end the command. The sections and panels are split at the intersecting split points.

Throughout the split process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Next

Press the down arrow key and select Next to proceed to the next split process.

Plane

Press the down arrow key and select Plane to split a section or panel using a plane. Refer to Split Section or Panel using a Plane for further information.

The new GENSEC and PANE elements display in the Model Explorer.
