Monochrome Tab

The Monochrome tab allows you to toggle the monochrome viewing effect on or off.

Select the Monochrome check box to display elements in the 3D View with a Monochrome effect. The elements are displayed in white with the outlines of the elements in black on a white background.

The monochrome effect will only apply to the current view and any other view that shares the same drawlist. This is because the temporary changes apply to the drawlist and not to the view.

When using the monochrome effect, the active and current element color functions are the same as the default auto colors, which can be used to emphasize the elements being selected, when using the standard auto colors.

Any elements added to the view subsequent to a switch to Monochrome will be displayed in the default auto color or selected color and will not appear white. It can be used to great effect, where the equipment has been added after switching to monochrome.

Deselect the Monochrome check box to reset the view to the original colors.
