Node Errors

With the Node Errors tab highlighted, errors such as the component weight not being set are displayed.

These errors must be rectified before the pipe is sent to be stressed.
To see changes to the list of Data Consistency and Node Errors, refresh the Stress Group before selecting Check Group.

This will insure that all changes to the Stress Group are up to date.
Node Errors ‑ Weight
If the weight of a component such as an instrument is not set, then an error in the Node Errors tab is displayed:
Unable to Find Weight for INST /FE-117 (example)
INST =15392/5691 (example)
As there is no weight in the catalogue for this, it can be set locally in the design by use of a User Defined Attribute (UDA) called PSIWEIGHT. The PSIWEIGHT attribute value remains persistent once set and overrides the catalogue value.
Set a Temporary Weight for a Stress Run
From the Existing Group box, right-click the selected Stress Group and select Show Node Details from the drop-down menu. The Node Details window is displayed.
Select the component that needs the weight to be changed. (If the weight is zero, the Error column will be flagged as True in the Node Details window).
Right-click anywhere on the component’s row to display the drop-down menu.

Select Display > Node Attributes.
Note:
Alternatively, select Node Attributes, from the Node Details window.
The Node Number ARRAY window is displayed with the majority of the fields being read-only. However if the weight is zero then the weight field can be changed. Change the weight to a suitable value, and select Apply. A Confirm window is displayed warning that the changes made by this method are only temporary.

Click Yes to change the weight or No to cancel the changes.
Note:
Further changes to weight values can be made within CAESAR II software.
Although CAESAR ll will allow up to nine temperatures and pressures, by default the Pipe Stress Interface only transfers one temperature and pressure, therefore error messages for temperature 2 - 9 can be ignored. If no insulation has been set on a branch, any error in insulation can be ignored.
To close the Node Details window, click Dismiss.
