Specifications

Specifications govern the choice of component available for selection in the catalog, the specifications must be set up before any design work can be carried out. The specifications which define the components are held in a tabular format and are stored in the database as the specifications hierarchy.

Both the Specification World and Specification elements are administrative elements common to all disciplines in AVEVA Catalog. Refer to the individual discipline for further information on the specification functionality available.
