Create Drawing Sheet from a Drawing Type and Template

Creates a drawing sheet from a selected drawing type and template.

Select Sheet from the available Drawing Types.

Select the required Template and click Create to display the Create Sheet window.

The Create Sheet window is very similar to the Hierarchy Browser window. Refer to Create Drawing Sheet from Hierarchy Browser or Open Window for further information.

You can browse the hierarchy to select the drawing that the sheet is to be created in. Either input a name in the Name field, or leave it blank if the sheet is to be assigned a default name.

Click Create to create the sheet or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Create Sheet window

The sheet element is created and assigned a default name of the drawing name followed by /S and the next available number.

Certain attributes of a drawing, for example, its size and backing sheet (if set), are inherited as the default attributes of sheets created for that drawing. These can be changed if required, for example, with the Properties window. In turn, attributes set for a sheet are inherited as the default attributes of the views of that sheet.
