Itemcodes containing the / character

The slash (/) character is used by default as a delimiter within the Intermediate Data File (transfer file) between itemcodes, short codes, and COMPIPE Spec names. Therefore, if itemcodes are to contain slash characters (for example, in the case of ITEMCODE LENGTH LONG where the specification name is included), an alternative delimiter must be set as ATEXT 299.

Note: It is the itemcode after SPEC name and trailing delimiter characters have been removed that is important. Since the slash character is often used within AVEVA E3D Design names, Isodraft will automatically set Atext 299 to the tilde (~) character when COMPIPEFILE is set. This can then be changed if required, e.g. use ATExt 299 ’:’.
