In the 3D graphical, select the elbow.

From the Piping Component Editor window, on the Select tab, select a bend from those available.

Click Create Component connect to Previous, the bend is created and connected to the selected elbow.

Select the Modify tab, change the orientation of the bend to Y.

Select the Hull Routing tab, click Surface Selection. A prompt is displayed is displayed in the 3D graphical view ‘Identify element’.

Click to select the hull panel(s), the selected panel(s) are highlighted as red.

Press ‘Esc’

From the Graphical Aids pane, change the Intersection Direction to Y.

The projection is displayed running across the panel(s) rather than up the hull.

From the Create/Modify Component pane, change the angle to 40 degrees.

Use the positioning functionality to select a spine on the projection.

Click Copy, Orientate and Position Current Component, to copy the CE, orientate and position its P0 at the curve.

From the Graphical Aids pane, change the Intersection Direction to Y 40 X.

Click the Modify tab, using the orientation functionality to orientate the elbow to -X.

Click the Select tab click elbow, then select a 90 degree elbow from the available list.

Continue routing up the hull.

Use the positioning functionality to complete the pipe branch.
