Overall Specification Settings

This is not a pointer to other elements but is local to the Specification itself.

The following settings are positioned at the beginning of the specification.

Turns synonyms off.

SPECONMODE

Enters SPECON mode.

NEW SPEC <name>

Specifies the new specification name.

PURP - Purpose attribute

Must be set to AJOI.

Any text prefixed with -- is not processed which allows for remarks to be added, for example, a description of the specification.

A line containing only the text HEADING is required to specify that the following line contain headings.

A list of headings in the order in which they are to be evaluated is then required.

The first column with the heading TYPE must contain the text FIXING for all rows.

The NAME column must contain a unique name, prefixed by an asterisk *. The name should be related to the CATREF or TMPREF of the joint referenced in the same row. Where the same joint is used for different ranges, the name can be made unique by suffixing the name with an index number.

The following settings are positioned at the end of the specification.
