Profile Shape Code Field

The Profile Type field defines exactly what shape the profile is. This is because there may be many occurrences of the same profile name in the 3D steel detailing package, but used in different manners. For example, only those T shapes which are derived from cutting up I shapes may be stored. This could be recorded in the file as follows:
