Plates need to be meshed into three or four node elements in Staad Pro. The Panel Meshing tools enable the creation of plate elements for Staad Pro.
Click Panel Meshing to display the Panel Meshing window.

Select the PANE or FLOOR and click Pick Panel, the Height and Thickness fields are populated from the panel attributes.
Click Create on the Meshed PANE List part of the window to create a new meshed plate element;

Each plate element is stored in the database as a DRAWI element.
Click
Derive points from graphic picks and then pick the vertexes of the plate element.

Note:
When Projection to Panel is selected in the Vertex Position list, the elevation of the meshing points are at the position projected to the panel.
Otherwise they are at the picked position.

Click Confirm to add the plate element to the Meshed Panel List.

Note:
The number of Meshing points must be 3 or 4.
Note:
If the plate is at the edge of a column, a point can be picked on the position line
of the column to avoid the node of the plate being an orphan node when it is too far
away from the position line of the column.

Note:
In the output function of the interface, the original PANE or FLOOR is not output
if the plate elements (DRAWI) are found.
To modify the position of a meshing point, select the point in the Meshing Point list, pick a new vertex and then click Confirm to modify
