XR Studio 5​.2​.0 release notes

New features

These features are new or changed in the AVEVA™ XR 5.2.0 release.

• XR Bridge has been segregated and released as an add-on bundle under the name AVEVA XR Bridge 1.0.0.

• New parenting contextual functionalities in Graphic Context for 2D nodes.

• Automatic language combo population in configuration files.

New nodes

These nodes have been added in this release.

• ChargeButton2D: A time-based button with autofill functionalities.

• Compass2D: A highly customizable compass 2D visual component.

Modified nodes

These nodes have been modified in this release.

• RectBase2D: New color picking functionalities for 2D nodes.

• Texture2D: New color picking functionalities for textures.

• RFC and POPMesh now support JSON metadata for RVM imports.

• For Text2D, InputText2D, and DynamicText2D nodes — disabling the resolveText parameter allows you to include special language characters in the text without any problem.

Deprecated and Discontinued

Deprecated features

Functionality is marked as deprecated when a specific function or feature is still supported in the current release, but might be removed in a future release. We advise that you phase these features out of your projects and begin to use alternative features.

• CVP3DVSManager node has been deprecated. Use CVSCloudManager instead.

• Camera cave fields - Cave visualization management should now be done through the Viewport node.

• Legacy 2D nodes - These legacy nodes are kept because they appear inside some old module scripts.

• setfield and setlocal attributes in Command node and statements.

Discontinued features

• Removed support for 3DVision and SLI rendering paths.

• Removed support for CloudStorage node.

• Removed support for VoiceSynth node.
