The animations are exported in individual .mwx files; one for every animation.
To export animations
-
Load the relative .bip file of the animation to export into the 3DS Max Biped.
The button for opening the .bip file is on the 3DS Max Motion tab while the first parent of the Biped is selected. In the example image, the object is the Bip001.
-
Open the .bip file and verify the animation is working properly.
The button circled in blue in the following illustration must be selected.

-
Define the ID of the animation. This is defined into the user buffer of the Biped Parent (always the Bip001 in the example).
$BonesHierarchyAnim
{
szID = anim_walk //this is the ID name of the animation
}
-
Export the animation.
Export selected the Biped Parent (Bip001 in the example). Only the first parent exports, because the rest of the Biped is automatically exported.
