Limited release: This a limited release of XR. It does not contain all of the features and tools that are described in this documentation.
New features
We have added these new features in the AVEVA XR 4.0.9 release.
New Scenegraph scene content customization functionalities
The Scenegraph node has been provisioned with new powerful content customization functionalities, such as color, opacity, and visibility management. These functionalities, and previously existing functionalities, are now available in both a stateful and in a stateless mode.
The new functions make it possible to achieve effects such as x-ray view (reduce opacity of most of the scene objects) and visual queries (selective object coloring).
RVM mesh aggregation
A new aggregate RVM import option is now available with already existing skip and detach options. The new aggregate option makes it possible to have a whole set of RVM geometries export as a single mesh.
Graphic Context resolution management
We have updated the Aspect Ratio menu to make it possible to assign and persist a specific resolution and aspect ratio to each graphic context.
The list of available aspect ratios now includes most major target devices, such as iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. It's also possible to create custom resolutions. These added functionalities make it easier to design for device-targeted user interfaces.
Improved UX for XR Studio
The XR Studio user interface has been reviewed and improved to be more understandable by user through:
-
Added helper text
-
Added tooltips
-
Added empty editor management
