About Default make_installer​.bat

The default make_installer.bat file is in the \bin\tools\make_installer folder.

Batch file installation steps

This standard batch file performs the following steps to create the installation package.

1. Creates _installer folder and copies Installer.exe into it. If this already exists, it is deleted and recreated.

2. Compiles project release, to ensure the most updated version, and copies project to _installer/installdata folder.

3. Copies PCLibsInstaller into _installer/installdata folder.

4. Copies project bridge folder, if present, into _installer/installdata folder.

5. Copies project launcher folder, if present, into _installer/installdata folder.

6. Creates the installdata.dat file and deletes the temporary _installer/installdata folder.

Notes

• All the file paths are defined as relative and refer to usual development tools position and project folder architecture.

• These paths may be different. To avoid problems, check the batch file before using it.
