Types of Fog

There are various types of Fog, including:

• Linear: The fog has a linear trend.

• Exp & exp2: The fog has an exponential trend, more or less marked, and controllable through the parameter f_density inside the file dof_hdr_b.cfg.

To select the desired Fog mode

• Use the i_type parameter inside the dof_hdr_b.cfg file.

To choose the fog color

• Use the f_red f_green f_blue inside the dof_hdr_b.cfg file.

Specifying Range

By default, the Fog goes from near to the room range. However, you can activate a range fog through the range_enable parameter inside the dof_hdr_b.cfg file.

Range parameters

The parameters defining the range are:

• range_start

• range_end

Ranging from [0..1] and representing in percentage the range between near and far of the chamber.

In practice, 0 = near_plane 1 = far_plane.

If, in addition to fog_range, range_infinite is also activated, the fog extends infinitely in a constant manner when the point is beyond the range_start range_end values.
