Avatar animations

  • Last UpdatedDec 06, 2023
  • 1 minute read

This page contains information about avatar animations that can be linked to an item's action, both default and user.

Animation types

Animations can be of two types:

  • One shot

  • Continuous

One-shot animations

When the action state goes to Started, the animation plays until the end without considering action state going to stopped.

Although you can press the action again before the end of the animation, the animation does not play. To play the animation again, wait until the animation ends and then trigger the action again.

Continuous

Continuous animations refer to particular item fields to progress. If the fields are not available in the item, or they do not change, the animation shows only its first frame.

Continuous animations show while action state is Started.

Restricted animations

Some animations must be associated to particular Item-derived object. For example, valve rotation animation only works with ItemValve nodes.
