Known issues during FBX import

These known issues can occur during the FBX import process.

Wrong vertex color

Issue

If a Mesh is triangulated during Maya FBX export, it will save less vertex colors.

Solution

To solve this issue, you can either:

  • Triangulate the mesh before exporting, or

  • Allow the importer to do the triangulation.

Invalid Animated Geometry

Issue

Invalid Animated Geometry is generated.

Problem

The FBX exporter triangulates only the Mesh, but not the Cache.

Solution

Triangulate Meshes with VertexCache before exporting.
