Limited release: This a limited release of XR. It does not contain all of the features and tools that are described in this documentation.
New features
We have added these new features in the AVEVA XR 4.0.5 release.
New Transform model for 3D scene contents
The model used to represent position, rotation, and scale of most of the 3D objects in a scene has been deeply rethought and updated with the introduction of the concept of Transform.
This work touched many nodes and functionalities, but in most cases retro compatibility is granted.

Enhancements to Graphic Context Editor
We have redesigned some aspects of Graphic Context Editor for smoother and simpler handling of objects in the 3D view.

Improved and more customizable Select content in the 3D View.

New transform-based content editing that supports Local and World coordinates, and multiple transform channels:

The Graphic Context Editor Parameters dialog box has been redesigned and expanded with additional features.

All entries available in the Adding a New Node dialog box have been redesigned to support the new Transform model functionalities.

Deprecated and Discontinued
Deprecated features
Functionality is marked as deprecated when a specific function or feature is still supported in the current release, but might be removed in a future release. We advise that you phase these features out of your projects and begin to use alternative features.

Legacy 2D nodes - These legacy nodes are kept because they appear inside some old module scripts.
Discontinued features
These features are no longer supported and no longer appear in XR software.

ItemTouchButton node - A new approach for VR and AR 2D interaction has been implemented based on ItemMonitor and Texture2D.
