A standard setup for FGI can be composed of the following items:
-
A Sky Mesh. For example, by using the Shader shSkyGradientsFGI that can interpolate between Day/Night states.
-
A Sun Light that is used for the main lighting and for the shadows.
-
A few other Lights for smaller light sources.
-
A Main LightProbe that covers the whole area. Every mesh has a basic ambient term.
-
A set of LightProbes that are placed where the lighting conditions are different from the Main LightProbe. For example a LightProbe placed in a region that is shadowed can help capture the reduction in lighting, or a LightProbe placed near particularly colored objects can help capture these colors.
