The Scan Graphics feature is a powerful and useful tool. It enables automatic creation of item node instances for each item object in the model. This follows the usual project process path where the interactive items are created inside the models and then imported with the scanner and customized inside the XR Studio.
The scan is based on the Naming conventions and rules (FBX).
Scan graphics
-
Click Scan Graphics on the Graphic Context Editor toolbar.

The tool parses the content of all MWX files and then displays a form to let you decide what to do.
MWX Scanner
Using the MWX Scanner, you can align item node definitions to the content of the graphic model files.
-
The scan can recognize those items that have been already defined, so you can incrementally create nodes for newly added items and delete removed nodes.
-
If some MWX files have been added, removed, or modified, you should reload graphics before performing the scan.
