Add a new language

There are two ways to add a new supported localization language, importing from an existing localization file or creating a new one.

You can also remove a language.

Import a localization file

In some cases, it could be useful to move a localization file from a project to another project by using Add Existing Language on the Language Editor toolbar.

  • The file must have the right naming convention (lang_XX where xx is the international two letters code for that language) and must be put in the correct place (/GameData/Languages).

  • When loading an existing localization file, you should first check to avoid duplicated languages. The keys of the new language are compared to those currently supported and new ones are added for all the languages.

Import an existing language file

  1. On the Language Editor toolbar, select Existing Lang.

  2. Select a language file and select Open.
