Limited release: This a limited release of XR. It does not contain all of the features and tools that are described in this documentation.
New features
These are the new and changed features in the AVEVA™ XR 4.0 release.
Updates to XR Studio interface
We have made some enhancements to the XR Studio interface. These enhancements include adding a ribbon-like toolbar to the editors, and redesigning some of the dialog boxes.
AVEVA 3D format support inside XR
We have developed an import pipeline for RVM. See RVM converted to MWX.
AVEVA™ XR also supports RFC/GCD file natively.
Design Review template
Customizing the XR Engage Template enables you to implement your application so that you can explore and interact with CAD content inside a high-performing 3D real-time engine—both on screen and in VR.
Session Data Management
We have added Session Data Management functionality to provide support for authentication, user management, and performance data storage for training activities.
Session Data Management includes these two tools:

XR Login - Manages user login and provide a simple interface to select and start training activities.

XR Performance - Provides administrative users the tools to analyze the performances of users in training scenarios.

Deprecated features
Functionality is marked as deprecated when a specific function or feature is still supported in the current release, but might be removed in a future release. We advise that you phase these features out of your projects and begin to use alternative features.
