Limited release: This a limited release of XR. It does not contain all of the features and tools that are described in this documentation.

New features

We have added these new features in the AVEVA™ XR 4.0.1 release.

More powerful scripts

• We have added Coroutine node and statements to expand and simplify the scripting capabilities. See Coroutine node.

• We have added realtime node instancing (createnode, deletenode, createroute) under the Command node.

Collaborative Design with Design Review

This release introduces a new collaboration feature to XR Studio. The new Design Review mode enables different users to see each other and interact in the same scene. Collaboration works on local networks and supports up to six participants independently using screen or VR devices.

FBX Import

We have added support for the FBX Autodesk file format. You can now open FBX format in XR Studio.

New SDOUBLE Data Type

There is a new sdouble data type.

New nodes

We have added these new nodes:

• AnimationClip

• DocumentView

Deprecated features

Functionality is marked as deprecated when a specific function or feature is still supported in the current release, but might be removed in a future release. We advise that you phase these features out of your projects and begin to use alternative features.
