GPU
AVEVA™ XR is a graphics-intensive application, so your graphics hardware needs to be sufficient.
Please consider that the graphics processing unit (GPU) specifications will directly impact AVEVA™ XR Studio performance.
Graphics card
-
Any DirectX 11 compatible graphic card.
Note: Some computers, especially laptops can have more than one GPU. Sometimes, motherboard-integrated GPUs are incompatible with some DirectX 11 features used by XR Framework. To prevent these issues and achieve proper performance, we recommend setting the system to use the main GPU with XR Framework. This is usually doable with GPU drivers or tools such as (NVidia Control Panel for NVidia GPUs).
Sound device
Note: By default, AVEVA™ XR applications require an installed sound device on the system. If you run an XR application on a system with no sound device, this could cause the application to fail. To enable XR software to work on a system with no installed sound device, you will need to set the Platform.sound.enable parameter to false in each Application Configuration File (config.xml) before being able to execute the project.
Turn off sound in a project
-
In AVEVA™ XR Studio, click Properties on the toolbar.
-
Click Edit next to config.xml.

-
On the File Properties tab, expand Platform, and then expand sound.
-
Disable the sound parameter by clearing the enable checkbox.
