The XR Node Reference contains Plant Item nodes types. Sometimes, these simple node types are not enough and you may need to extend them by grouping.
Scenario examples
Cases where you might want to group:
-
When an item is made of different elements, such as a valve with a local/remote selector.
-
When different items belong to the same equipment, such as a button and selectors of a control panel.
What grouping means
Grouping means that different items are presented to the field operator as unique items in both the XR Viewer and in the XR Instructor.
This means that there is a unique:
-
Item silhouette
-
Set of value properties, displayed in the InteractionViewer
-
Set of actions
