Navigation Gizmo

The Navigation Gizmo is an aid to navigation that gives the users a chance to align the camera to useful orientations.

  • You can configure its position from the Graphic Context Editor Preferences Navigation settings.

  • Any interactable part of the gizmo becomes highlighted whenever the mouse hovers it.

  • The Navigation Gizmo sets the camera orientation based on what is currently selected. If a node that has a spatial representation is selected, the camera rotates around its position, if not, the camera rotates in place.

Interact with the Navigation Gizmo

  • Left-select on any cube face to align the camera orientation to the World Axis corresponding to its normal direction.

  • Click on any circle to align the camera orientation to the World Axis it represents.

  • Click on any corner of the cube to align the camera orientation between the two X and Z corresponding axis and 45° up or down.

  • Left-select and drag on the light-grey circle below the cube to rotate the camera only on the yaw. If a Transformation Gizmo is currently displaying, the camera will yaw around it, otherwise it will change its yaw in place.
