FGI States

Use the FGI rendering pipeline to define multiple lighting condition states with different settings. These states are mapped by FgiState nodes.

About FGI states

  • The important parameters are the sun\position and sun\target.

  • The sun\position is the position of the sun.

  • The sun\target is the target, which should be under the ground level.

Create an FgiState node

  1. Set the parameters for the sun\position and sun\target.

  2. On the Rendering panel, select FGI tab, and click Generate.

If the FGI does not generate and no other lights are in the scene, all objects are black.

  3. (Optional) Right-click a state name, such as state_default and then click Set from Direct Light on the context menu.

  4. Turn on the options for shadows in Properties > Engine configuration > Edit.
