The 3D panel shows a configurable grid at the origin height. The grid is drawn based on the user preferences settings.

The axis of the grid passing through origin along the X axis is colored in red, while the line along the Z axis is blue.

You can set these parameters on the Graphic Context Editor Parameters dialog.

  • Grid Number of Cells (side). Represents the number of cells on each quadrant on each side of the grid. For example, when this value is set to 100, a grid of 100 x 100 cells is drawn in every quadrant of the scene, resulting in a grid of 200 x 200.

  • Grid Cell Size. Represents the size in meters of every single cell of the grid. Cells can only be squared. For example, using the example above of a grid of 200 x 200 cells, if the Grid Cell Size is set to 1, the grid will be a square with 200 meters side, with 200 rows and 200 columns of 1 meter each.
