Ambient Occlusion

Ambient Occlusion is a shading and rendering effect that calculates how surfaces are exposed to ambient lighting. The effect is to emphasize differences between points where the geometry is more or less exposed to ambient light.

To configure Ambient Occlusion

This procedure describes how to configure ambient occlusion.

  1. Turn on the value in HDR/Ambient Occlusion control panel.

    enable = True

  2. Set these values in HDR Toolbar Ambient Occlusion/hbao

angleBias = 0

blurRadius = 5

blurSharpness = 3

computeShader = True

halfRes = False

powerExponent = 0.8

radius = 0.19

sceneScale = 6

strength = 1
