Player setup

The Player Setup area on the Main Config tab groups all the options relating to the behavior of the application.

These options appear on the Player Setup screen.

Defines whether the application reacts to user input.

Cursor Visible

Defines whether the mouse cursor appears over the application area or not.

Language

Specifies the language to display inside the application.

Messaging System

Enabled

If set to True, the application can communicate on the real-time bus.

Host

Host IP address or Hostname of the server of the Message Bus network. This field is used only if type is set to client.

GFX settings

The GFX Setup area contains the settings that relate to configuring the 3D display and stereo setup.

Display setup

These are the Display Setup options on the GFX Setup screen.

Display Adapter

Determines the graphic card to be used by the engine.

Fullscreen/Windowed

Determines whether the application runs at full screen or inside a window.

Fullscreen Resolution

Determines the screen resolution and refresh rate at full screen.

Windowed Width

Sets windowed mode width.

Windowed Height

Sets windowed mode height.

Output Monitor

Determines the Monitor to use to render the app in Fullscreen mode

Skip Hardware Fullscreen

This setting is used only when the application is in fullscreen mode. If set to true, instead of rendering in hardware fullscreen, the application is rendered into a borderless fullscreen window.

Display setup

The Display Setup field enables you to select a specific graphics adapter to be used by XR engine.

This field is set to Auto-select by default. When set to Auto-select, the graphics card with the highest available memory will be automatically selected.

Output monitor

The Output Monitor field enables you to select a specific monitor to use to render the application in Fullscreen mode.

This field is set to Auto-select by default. When set to Auto-select, the first monitor associated with the graphics adapter used by XR engine will be automatically selected

Fullscreen resolution

The Fullscreen Resolution field enables you to select a specific screen resolution and refresh rate for use in fullscreen mode.

This field is set to Auto-select by default. When set to Auto-select, the native resolution and refresh rate of the monitor used by XR engine to render the application will be automatically applied.

Custom parameters

The Custom Parameters area groups all the customization settings that relate to the content or the behavior of the scenario.

  • The content of the Custom Parameters area changes depending on the application.

  • The information on this screen is presented with a hierarchical property editor.

  • You can edit each value with a specialized editor based on the variable type. When you select a setting, a brief associated description shows in the lower pane.
