XR Bridge can handle various technologies and channels.
-
Each channel represents a different communication network (DYNSIM, MWPL).
-
Each simulation contains two or more channels and enables data exchange across the channels.
For more information about how to configure the bridge, see Bridge Configuration File and Bridge Generator.
The XR Bridge is designed to operate mostly automatically. See XR Bridge interface to learn how to use the XR Bridge interface for debug or verification tasks.
XR Bridge multiple distributions
XR Studio release includes multiple versions of the XR Bridge under the Runtime folder. Each different version is designed to target a specific different version of AVEVA™ Dynamic Simulation version (formerly DYNSIM).
Note By default, new projects will target the default xrbridge version.

Bridge Configuration
XRBridge is configured by a single file that defines both involved communication channels and simulation data exchange rules.
By default, XR Bridge looks for a local file named bridge.xml but it’s possible to specify another bridge configuration file by passing it as a command argument.
For example:
start XRBridge.exe ./TestConfigurations/Test01.xml
