The Variables tab enables you to check and modify the value of variables in the various channels. This is useful for debugging purposes.
Use the list to select a channel from the ones in the currently loaded simulation.

Variable parameters
For each variable, the following parameters display.
|
Column |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Name |
The name of the variable. |
|
Value |
The current value of the variable. |
|
Type |
Shows type and direction. Type depends on the channel. |
|
UOM |
If the channel supports variable unit of measure (uom) specification, the specified value shows here. No value means the default UOM is used. |
Search for a variable
-
Use the filter feature to search for and locate a variable or a set of them.
When you type something in the filter text field, the variable search list is reduced according to the typed text.
Changing a value of a variable
You can change the value of a variable to test simulation bridge rules directly from the XR Bridge.
If a variable's direction is set as to then the value is not forwarded on the channel.
Set a variable value
-
Select the variable.
-
Insert the new value in the set text field.
-
Press the Set button.
Exporting variables state
You can export a .csv file containing the state of the currently filtered variables (name, type, value, and UOM) of the currently selected channel.
The file is stored in the bridge folder with the following name format: channelName_export_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.csv.
Perform an export of variable states
-
Select desired channel to export.
-
Click the Export
button.
