A dedicated search area within the Scene Explorer allows quick retrieval of one or more nodes through full or partial name matching:
-
Navigation arrows enable moving to the previous or next result in the search sequence.
-
The Filter button provides options to select which item types are considered during the search.
-
The Advanced Search button opens the Scene Explorer Advanced Search panel.

In addition to using the navigation arrows, the search can also be triggered by pressing the Enter key.
When no additional results are available, the search input field displays a pulse animation.
If no results match the search term, a dialog provides feedback to indicate that no matches were found.
Advanced search
The advanced search, in addition to providing all the capabilities of the Scene Explorer standard search area, offers new settings.

Find all and Clear
The advanced search also includes a Find all button, which finds and selects all the results matching the given search term, and a Clear button, which sets all the filters to their respective defaults and clears the current selection.
Long lasting search
In scenarios where the Scene Explorer contains a large number of nodes, search and selection operations may impact performance, particularly during a Find all search, which can return a large result set.
If the operation takes more than a few seconds, a progress panel is displayed, providing a Cancel button to stop the ongoing search.
When more than 10,000 results are found, a feedback dialog appears, prompting whether to continue or cancel the selection of the returned results.
