Work Order Requests

Use Work Order Requests to work with the work order requests available for the configured cost center. The work order request status cards categorize work order requests by their statuses, and show information for fields set in the ShowInBrowser and ShowInBrowserDetail fields of the SAT_WRS_FIELD_SETUP_MOBILE table in the AVEVA Mobile Operator database.

Work Order Request Status

Work order request status is the current status of the work order request in the app.

Status

Description

All Items

The work order requests that are available on the mobile device.

In Progress 

The work order requests that are partially completed on the mobile device but not yet synced with the Server.

Completed

The work order requests that are completed on the mobile device but not yet synced with the Server.

<Custom>

The work order requests that have a custom generated status.

Note: No status appears for work order requests that are completed on the mobile device and synced with the Server.

To access Work Order Requests

  • Tap the Menu button, and then tap Work Order Requests.

    The Work Order Requests screen appears.

To see more information in a work order request entry

  • On the work order request card, tap more.

    The work order request entry expands showing all the fields.

To see less information in a work order request entry

  • On the expanded work order request card, tap less.

    The work order request entry collapses showing a maximum of three fields.

Note:
- By default, a maximum of three fields are shown for each work order request entry along with the status of the work order request.
- The information for fields set in the ShowInBrowser field is shown first followed by fields set in the ShowInBrowserDetail field for each Work Order Request in the Database.
- At a time, only one work order request entry can be expanded to show all its fields.

To search a work order request

  1. On the Action bar, tap the Search button.

    The Search panel appears.

  2. In the Search box, type the search keyword.

  3. Tap a Search Filter, and then tap the Find button.

    The Results screen appears with matching work order requests.

    Note:
    - Search is enabled only if the Short Text field is set in the ShowInBrowser field of the SAT_WRS_FIELD_SETUP_MOBILE table in the Database.
    - You can tap the Close button to close the Search panel.

Work Order Request Search Filter

Work order request search filter helps to narrow search criteria for more specific search results. Search filters include:

  • Starts with

  • Contains

To close work order request search results

  • On the Action bar, tap the Close button.

    The previous screen appears.

To filter work order requests by status

  1. On the Top bar, tap the Filter icon for work order request status.

    The Filter WOR screen appears.

  2. Tap to select a work order request status.

    The Work Order Requests screen appears with the filtered work order requests.

    Note:
    - Once the filter is applied, tap on the Ascending or Descending icon to order the filtered list accordingly. By default, the list is sorted in the ascending order.
    - The filter applied to work order requests is retained when you return to the Work Order Requests screen after adding or editing work order requests.

    To filter work order requests by asset

    1. On the Top bar, tap the Filter icon for asset.

      The Asset Browser screen appears.

    2. Search or filter assets, and then tap to select an asset.

      The Work Order Requests screen appears with the filtered work order requests.

      Note:
      - The default value is All Assets, which lists the total number of work order requests that are available on the mobile device regardless of the asset association.
      - Once the filter is applied, tap on the Ascending or Descending icon to order the filtered list accordingly. By default, the list is sorted in the ascending order.
      - The filter applied to work order requests is retained when you return to the Work Order Requests screen after adding or editing work order requests.

      To clear work order request status filter

      1. On the Top bar, tap the Clear Filter icon for work order request status.

        A confirmation message appears.

      2. Tap Yes.

        The Work Order Requests screen appears with filters cleared for work order request status.

        To clear asset filter

        1. On the Top bar, tap the Clear Filter icon for asset.

          A confirmation message appears.

        2. Tap Yes.

          The Work Order Requests screen appears with filters cleared for asset.

          To sort work order requests

          1. Tap Sort by.

            The Sort by screen appears.

          2. Tap the Check button next to the available sort parameters.

            The sort parameter is selected, and the Work Order Requests screen appears with the sorted work order requests.

            Note:
            - The available sort parameters include the fields set in the ShowInBrowser field for Work Order Requests in the Database, and the work order request status.
            - To cancel sorting, in the Sort by screen, tap Cancel.
            - Once the sort is applied, tap on the Ascending or Descending icon to order the sorted list accordingly. By default, the list is sorted in the ascending order.
            - The sort applied to work order requests is retained till a data transfer is performed.

            To access a work order request

            1. Tap to select a work order request.

              A window appears displaying the list of Work Order Request Templates.

            2. Select the required template.

              The work order request is opened.

              To add a work order request

              1. Tap the Add button.

                The Work Order Request screen appears.

              2. Optional: Click the Attachments button to add attachments to the Work Order Request.

              3. Complete the work order request fields.

              4. Tap the Save button.

                The work order request is saved, and the Work Order Requests screen appears.

                To select an asset in a work order request

                1. Tap the Location list.

                  The asset browser with the Select Asset screen appears.

                2. Tap the Check button next to the asset.

                  The asset is selected.

                3. On the Action bar, tap the Done button.

                  The Work Order Request screen appears with the selected asset in the field.

                  To add a default note in a work order request

                  1. Tap the Default Notes icon for Short Text or Long Text.

                    The Select Note screen appears.

                  2. Tap the Check button next to the default note title.

                    The default note is selected.

                  3. On the Action bar, tap the Done button.

                    The Work Order Request screen appears with the text entry of the selected default note appended to the field.

                    OR

                    1. Tap the Default Notes icon for Short Text or Long Text.

                      The Select Note screen appears.

                    2. Tap the title of the default note.

                      An information message appears with the text entry for the default note.

                    3. Tap the Add button to add the default note.

                      The Work Order Request screen appears with the text entry of the selected default note appended to the field.

                      Note: You can add multiple default notes by repeating these steps.

                      To delete a work order request

                      1. Tap the Edit button.

                        The edit mode is enabled.

                      2. Tap the Delete button next to the work order request.

                        A confirmation messages appears.

                      3. Tap Yes.

                        The work order request is deleted.

                      4. Tap the Done button.

                        The edit mode is disabled.

                        Work Order Request Configurations

                        Work order request fields can be configured as follows:

                        • Label text and position within the work order request

                        • Required – Yes or No

                        • Read-Only or Editable

                        • Hidden or Viewable

                        • Default Value
