Create new Groups

An AVEVA Mobile Operator User can create new Groups is through the Navigation Panel Editor.

Note: Groups or Items created by a user only affect that user’s Navigation Panel. These changes will not affect the Management Center configuration that other users have set.

  1. Open the Navigation Panel Editor by clicking the icon on the Navigation Panel Tool Bar. The Navigation Panel Editor (shown below) will appear.

  2. Create a new group by clicking the New Group icon ().The new group will automatically appear as the last group in the list.

  3. Enter a Label for the Group (up to 100 characters). The Label will display immediately in the Navigation Pane of the Navigation Panel Editor (shown below).

  4. Enter a Tool Tip for this group (up to 200 characters). The Tool Tip will display when the user moves the mouse pointer over the group’s listing in the Navigation Panel.

  5. Optionally, select a different Icon to represent this Group in the Navigation Panel.

  6. After making changes to the new "Private Group," be sure to save those changes by either clicking OK to save the changes before closing the Navigation Panel Editor, or by clicking Apply to commit the changes before continuing to add New Items or Existing Items to this group.
