Sort by column

When working with long lists of data, it is often helpful to sort by a particular attribute to aid in finding the desired item quickly. For example, take the Base Filter, shown below, which appears when a user elects to change the active Base.

There are two columns in this list. The Name column is marked with a triangle which
points upward (
). This indicates that this list of Bases is sorted "ascending" by the attribute represented
by column. This means that this list of Bases is sorted alphabetically, from A to
Z, by Name.
To reverse the sorting applied to the column, click the heading again.

The column header is now labeled with a downward pointing triangle (
), and the base is now sorted reverse alphabetically, or from Z to A.
To sort by a different column, simply click the heading.

Likewise, to reverse the sort, click the heading again.
