Shift Setup

This subsection of scheduling allows creation and configuration of Shifts, which can be thought of as a way to divide individual days.

Contiguous, non-overlapping Shifts spanning a 24-hour period (as would be working round-the-clock at a refinery) are classified into Shift Groups. Shift Groups aid in organization and reporting; they also prevent problems arising from gaps between shifts, or overlapping of shifts, that may otherwise occur.

The completed Shift Groups are then associated with a Base to define its round-the-clock schedule.

To access Shift Setup, click its listing in the expanded Scheduling list.

The Shift Setup screen will appear, displaying any Shifts in the order in which they were created.
