AVEVA™ Mobile Operator

Learn about Administration section

The Administration section of the Management Center should be the first stop for newly installed AVEVA Mobile Operator setups. It allows the configuration of the behavior of AVEVA Mobile Operator components, the creation of Bases, Groups and Roles, and the assignment of permissions to Groups.

Open the Administration group by clicking its listing.

Once expanded, the following selections become available. Refer to the appropriate sections for information regarding usage of the following administrative applications:

Note: This documentation assumes that you have sufficient permissions to access the application and its features. Without sufficient permissions, functions within applications are inaccessible. For more information regarding the permissions required by the Management Center and its applications, see the AVEVA Mobile Operator web application.

  • System Configuration: Allows configuration of system settings for various AVEVA Mobile Operator components. See System Configuration module.

  • Security Manager: Allows creation of Users, User Groups, Bases, and Roles, and the assignment of Permissions. See Security Manager module.

  • External Servers: Allows the configuration of AVEVA Mobile Operator interaction with external servers, such as Historians and Work Order Request systems. See External Servers module.

  • System Status: Provides monitoring of the AVEVA Mobile Operator configuration’s status, and a log of data transfers. See System Status module.

  • iDTS Configuration: Allows configuration of various Data Transformation (DT) methods for Asset data, Work Order Requests, and more. See Data Transformation Service Configuration.

  • Device Registration: Allows the registration of mobile applications and the Bluetooth (BT) peripherals used by them. See Device Registration.

  • ArchestrA Logger: Used to log AVEVA Mobile Operator system activity. See ArchestrA Logger.

  • Change Password: If enabled in System Configuration, this function allows Management Center users to change their passwords. See Changing Passwords on Login for more information
