Several requirements and suggestions apply to database scripting. Please read the following before using the Database Scripts Utility.
-
AVEVA recommends that all scripts be run by your Database Administrator or by a qualified professional experienced in database management.
-
DBO (Database Owner) privileges, or permissions, equivalent to that of "sa" (the System Administrator) are required for most database-related activities.
-
The Database Scripts Utility can only be run from the local machine. Copy the "\Products\DatabaseScripts" folder, and all of its contents, from the source to a desired location on the local machine in order to run the utility.
-
Install .NET Framework 4.8.1 Runtime Offline Installer and MSOLEDB Driver 19, and uninstall MSOLEDB Driver 18. For more information, see Microsoft documentation.
-
If you wish to enable encryption for the SQL Server, you must enable force encryption and add a valid certificate in the SQL Server Configuration Manager. Ensure that the NT Service\MSSQLSERVER has Read access on the valid certificate and then restart the SQL Server Service. For more information, see Microsoft documentation.
Caution: Prior to running scripts to update a database from an earlier version of IntelaTrac or Mobile Operator, detach the database or make a backup copy.
