Mobile Attachments

Use Mobile Attachments to attach documents to task groups or tasks within procedures. The Mobile Attachments always appear after the Server Attachments, if any, in the File Attachments screen. Mobile attachments are usually supporting information for the value captured in the task or task group. in the form of PDF documents, spreadsheets, and graphics to help in rounds or surveillances. The documents are stored in the external memory of the mobile device, where third-party apps can edit, annotate, and replace the documents. The document that is attached can be viewed or annotated only if the appropriate app is installed on the mobile device.

Note:
- The default extensions for images and videos captured on the Mobile device are JPEG and MP4 respectively.
- The file extensions configured in the System Settings module of the AVEVA Mobile Operator web application are only for file attachment selection.
- Mobile Attachments, if any, can be viewed in the Auditor Plus reports for the respective task group or task. For more information on Auditor Plus, refer to the Management Center User's Guide.

To add a file as an attachment

  1. On the Action bar, tap the Manage Attachments button.

    The File Attachments screen appears.

  2. Tap the Add File button.

    The default file browser appears.

  3. Tap a file in the file browser.

    The File Attachments screen appears with the selected file as an attachment.

    Note:
    - You can also tap multiple files to add them all as attachments at once.
    - The File Attachment screen also shows the server attachments.

To capture an image as an attachment

  1. On the Action bar, tap the Manage Attachments button.

    The File Attachments screen appears.

  2. Tap the Capture Photo button.

    The Viewfinder screen appears.

  3. Tap the Capture button.

    The photo is captured.

  4. Tap the Accept button.

    The File Attachments screen appears with the captured photo as an attachment.

    Note: The File Attachment screen also shows the server attachments.

    To capture a video as an attachment

    1. On the Action bar, tap the Manage Attachments button.

      The File Attachments screen appears.

    2. Tap the Capture Video button.

      The Viewfinder screen appears.

    3. Tap the Capture button.

      The recording is started.

    4. Tap the Stop button.

      The recording is stopped.

    5. Tap the Accept button.

      The File Attachments screen appears with the captured video as an attachment.

      Note: The File Attachment screen also shows the server attachments.

      To delete an attachment

      1. Tap the Edit button.

        The edit mode is enabled.

      2. Tap the Delete button next to the attachment.

        A confirmation message appears.

      3. Tap Yes.

        The attachment is deleted.

      4. Tap the Done button.

        The edit mode is disabled.

        Note:
        - Only one mobile attachment can be deleted at a time.
        - The File Attachment screen also shows the server attachments. However, those cannot be deleted.
