Task Group

After creating the Procedure, you must add at least one Task Group to contain the Procedure’s Tasks.

Tak Groups, similar to Decisions (see Decision), are groups of Tasks, or other Task Groups, which are usually associated with an Asset. Examples of task groups include:

  • Grouping observations or measurements for equipment such as a flare stack, tank, or pump.

  • Grouping multiple sets of observations or measurements. For example, a compressor train might have sub-groups defined for the driver, the compressor case and a lube oil skid with each task group able to have its own status assigned.

Note: Decisions resemble Task Groups, except that Decisions always appear as the result of readings taken whereas Task Groups are usually visible unless disabled.

To create a Task Group, drag the "Task Group" item from the Toolbox to the desired location in the Procedure.
