AVEVA™ Mobile Operator

Installation

AVEVA Mobile Operator app is installed on the mobile device through app marketplace such as Store or through sideloading. Sideloading is directly copying and installing the UWP file of the app on the mobile device bypassing the app marketplace.

Note:
- If you are using AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 R2 SP1 or later versions of the UWP App, you must reconfigure the Server with similar or later versions to use Azure AD authentication. Azure AD authentication with AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 R2 or earlier versions of the Server is not supported.
- You cannot upgrade the sideloaded version of the AVEVA Mobile Operator UWP app.

To install AVEVA Mobile Operator (UWP) on Windows Devices (32 bit and 64 bit)

  1. Copy the Windows App folder to your Windows device.

  2. Double-click the AVEVA.MobileOperator.msixbundle file.

    An information message appears.

  3. Click Install.

    The app is installed.

  4. Click Launch to open the app.

    The app is launched.

When launching the app, if Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is not installed on your system, a pop-up window appears indicating that the app requires this component. To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. On the pop-up window, select Download.

    Note: Ensure you have an active internet connection to download Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime.

  2. Launch the MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe file and follow the instructions on the screen.

    Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime is installed.

  3. Relaunch the AVEVA Mobile Operator app.

    To install AVEVA Mobile Operator (UWP) on Windows Devices (32 bit or 64 bit) using PowerShell

    1. Copy the Windows App folder to your Windows device.

    2. Right-click the Add-AppDevPackage file, click the Run with PowerShell option, and then follow the prompts.

      PowerShell displays the status of deployment. When the installation is complete, a confirmation message appears, indicating that the app is installed.

      To reset app data

      1. Tap the Settings app shortcut in the Start menu.

        The Settings app is opened.

      2. Tap Apps & Features.

        The Apps & Features section is opened.

      3. Tap AVEVA Mobile Operator.

        The application information for the AVEVA Mobile Operator app appears.

      4. Tap Advanced Options.

        The Advanced Options for the AVEVA Mobile Operator app appears.

      5. Tap Reset.

        A confirmation message appears.

      6. Tap Reset.

        The data for the AVEVA Mobile Operator app is deleted.

        Note:
        - Reset app data to delete data associated with the app. Clearing app data permanently deletes data stored by the app including your preferences and sign-in details.
        - App Data can be reset only for 32 bit and 64 bit devices.
