- When upgrading the common installer from AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020, you must select
each component except Identity Provider, validate the configuration, and then select

-We recommend the installation folder of the program files to be secured with a tight
Access-control list.
-We recommend you to regularly review and update the Access-control lists to prevent
unauthorized access.
-We recommend you to limit the permissions to only authorized users or groups.
-We recommend to use BitLocker if you are installing AVEVA Mobile Operator to a custom
file path.
-If you are using enterprise authentication mode, we recommend you to not select or
remove Identity Provider if it is already installed. For more information about configuration,
see Federated Identity Provider.
Installing and configuring the AVEVA Mobile Operator involves running the Setup.exe file available in the installation media at \Products\Common Install folder. When you run the Setup.exe file, the following applications gets installed in your system.
-
Platform Common Services (System Management Server)
-
AVEVA Enterprise Licensing
-
Identity Provider
-
Data Server
-
Web Application
You can choose to install the applications in a single machine. However, it is recommended to have Platform Common Services and Identity Provider in one machine, and the Data Server and Web Application in another machine. This architecture provides the flexibility to modify the settings of one application without disturbing the settings of another application.
The installation of the applications is performed via the AVEVA Mobile Operator Installation wizard.

The configuration of the applications is performed via the Configurator.
