You may now specify how much free space (in percent of total capacity) AVEVA Mobile Operator will maintain where Attached Documents are stored. This is important in the case of scenarios requiring the availability of large amounts of Attached Documents. Please note the following regarding the functionality of this feature:

  • The default setting is 20. The minimum setting is 10, and the maximum is 75.

  • Deletion of Attached Documents is performed during full Synchronization, and only if the amount of free space is less than the setting.

  • The process will only delete an amount of Attached Documents necessary to reach the specified threshold.

  • Only "orphaned" Attached Documents (those associated with Procedures that are no longer present on the device), or attached documents not required by the current base, are deleted.

  • Attached Documents not associated with the current Base are deleted first.

  • Deletion always occurs in the order of largest Attached Document to smallest, in the following order:

    1. Orphaned documents from non-current Bases

    2. Non-orphaned documents from non-current Bases

    3. Orphaned documents from the current base

To specify the amount (in percent) of free space maintained on an SD Card

  1. Access the AVEVA Mobile Operator web application and select an organization.

  2. In the Sync Server Settings section, modify the Device - Minimum Free Space (%) For Docs setting as required.

  3. Save your changes.
