Understand the hardware and software requirements for AVEVA Mobile Operator

The first step prior to installation is to identify the computer resources where you intend to install the AVEVA Mobile Operator applications. A typical AVEVA Mobile Operator installation consists of the following components:

Database Server – Computer resource where SQL applications execute.

Mobile Operator Server (SDK, Data Server, Scheduler,Sync,DTS, AVEVA Historian, Galaxy Integration, Historian Online Update Service, and PI System Update Service) – Computer resource for communication to mobile devices and Management Center components.

Desktop Client Systems – Networked workstations used for construction and management of Procedures, and configuring import and export of Assets, Response Lists, Work Orders, etc.

Mobile Devices – Mobile devices used for Mobile Task Management.

Web Application - Resource used for managing the Organizations.

Identity Server/Provider: Resource used for AVEVA Mobile Operator authentication.

License Server - Resource that provides valid licenses for mobile devices.
Note: All the Mobile Operator Services run under the virtual service account (NT Service\<Service_name>). For more information, see User accounts and Groups created and used by Mobile Operator.
