How often will this happen: Specifies whether this will be a single Procedure Instance, or Procedure Series.
-
One time only: Schedules a Procedure Instance that will be available only once. When this option is selected, the only Recurrence setting available will be Start Date, which simply selects the date on which this Procedure is to be available.
-
On a recurring basis: Schedules a Procedure Series, which will create multiple Procedure Instances as specified by the remaining options.
Who will do the work: Assigns the Procedure Instance or Series to a Role or User.
-
A specific role: Select a Role from the list of those available and select the Role filter for the current Base. The Procedure Instance or Series will then be available only to Users assigned to that Role.
-
Assign this procedure to a specific person: Select the checkbox and then click the Browse button to select a User. The Procedure Instance or Series will then be available only to that User. In the Create New Schedule window, you can:
-
Assign Procedure to a specific user, the Users window will display the list of users who have Mobile Operator permission in that Base.
-
Assign Procedure to a user based on role, the Users window will display the list of users who are part of the role and have Mobile Operator permission on the Base.
-
Search for a user, the Users window will display Search text box, where you can enter the search criteria and it will display the first 200 user names that match the search criteria.
-
Pattern is based off: Determines the kind of recurrence patterns available, and the expected start and end times of Procedures created.
-
A specific shift: Select a Shift from the list of those available. (If editing a previously scheduled Procedure, shifts already passed will be absent from this list.) This will enable the calendar-based Recurrence Patterns, and will adjust the expected Start and Stop times of the Procedure Instance(s).
-
A specific crew: Select a Crew from the list of those available. This enables Crew-specific Recurrence Patterns based on this setting, shown below.

-
Every shift to which the crew is scheduled: Select this option to ensure that the Procedure occurs on every shift to which the Crew is scheduled.
-
Every time the crew is on: Select this option, and choose an available Shift from the drop-down list. This will cause the Procedure to occur only when the Crew is scheduled to the selected Shift.
-
X day(s) into the crew’s rotation: Select this option, and choose a number, to make the Procedure occur once per Crew Rotation. For example, if the Crew’s Rotation period is 28 days, and this number is set to 10, then this Procedure will always become available the 10th active shift (day) into each of that Crew’s rotation, every 28 days. See Crew Setup for more information on Rotation.
Caution: Use of the arrow keys is recommended when adjusting the value of the "X day(s) into the crew’s rotation" option. This is because it is possible to type a number higher than the number of days in the crew’s rotation. The system will change this to the number of days in the crew’s rotation, but cannot notify the user of the change.
Mobile Visibility Options: Optionally configures the Procedure so that it is visible only during times that correspond to specific Crews, or to specific Shifts.
Note: The following settings only pertain to Shifts and Crews. The mobile application user must still have access to the Base, and have the necessary Role, to view Procedures.
-
All Shifts: This default setting ensures that a Procedure scheduled to a specific Shift is visible to other Shifts. For example, this allows visibility of an incomplete Procedure with Latency to the next Shift on-duty.
-
By Crew: Ensures the New or In-Progress Procedure, when scheduled by Crew, will only be visible on the mobile application during the time of day, and day of week, that correspond to the Crew selected in the drop-down box next to this option.
-
By Scheduled Shift: The New Procedure, when scheduled by Shift, will only be visible on the mobile application during the time of day corresponding to the Shift to which this Procedure was originally scheduled. A Procedure left In Progress will still be visible to the user who left it In Progress. Check the Hide on Early Pickup checkbox to ensure that the Procedure does not become visible until the actual start time of the Shift.
Range of recurrence: Specifies the duration for which a Procedure Series will continue repeating. The availability of these options depends on the settings chosen in the three previous sections.
-
Start Date: Specifies the date on which the recurrence will begin. For example, if this is set to Saturday the 13th, yet the Recurrence is set for Weekly on Tuesdays, Tuesday the 16th will be the first day the Procedure is actually available.
-
EndDate: Specifies the last day on which Procedure Instances from this Series will be available.
-
No End Date: Choose this option to ensure that this pattern is followed continually.
-
End after X occurrence(s): Allows the user to specify the number of times the Instances will recur based on the configured Pattern.
-
End by: Specifies the last day on which this Procedure will recur.
-
Recurrence Pattern:
Selects the interval for which a Procedure Series will repeat. When "A specific crew" is selected, the Recurrence Pattern section will be as the one shown above. When "A specific shift" is selected, this screen will provide the following options, instead.
Daily:

-
Every X days: Select this option, and choose a day interval, to set this Procedure to recur that amount of days. For example, if this value is set to 3, and the first occurrence is on the 4th, the next recurrences will be on the 7th, 10th, 13th, and so forth.
-
Every weekday: Select this option to ensure that the Procedure recurs every Monday through Friday.
Weekly:

-
Recur every X week(s) on: Specifies how often the weekly cycle should repeat. After setting this number, select the days on which this Procedure will recur within the cycle. For example, if set to "every 2 weeks" and "on:" Tuesdays, for example, the Procedure will recur every other week on Tuesday.
Monthly:

-
Day X of every Y month(s): Schedules a procedure to happen on a specific day of a month cycle, and how often that cycle should repeat itself. If set to "Day 10 of every 3 months," for example, the Procedure will be scheduled to happen on the 10th of every 3rd month.
Caution: The "Days" setting in scheduling always ranges to 31. Exercise caution when using this option, as the Procedure may be scheduled to occur on a day that does not (e.g. Sep. 31st), or does not often (e.g. February 29th), exist.
-
The X Y of every Z month(s): Select this option to allow greater flexibility in a once-per-month schedule. This allows the user to set a per-month Series to ensure that it falls on a certain day, for example when certain Users are on-site.
Caution: The "X" setting in scheduling options like these, where the user chooses a numbered occurrence of a day (e.g. Tuesday) within a given month, allows the user to specify days which may not exist. Exercise caution when scheduling; for example, while there is always a third Sunday in every month, there is rarely a fifth.
Yearly:

-
Every X Y: Choose a month and day after selecting this option to configure the Procedure to recur once yearly on a specific, single calendar day.
-
The X Y of every Z: Choose a numbered, sequential occurrence of a day within a month, and the month, on which the Procedure will occur each year.
-
Help: Opens the help file to the section on creating and editing Schedules.
-
OK: Commits the changes on all tabs to the Procedure Instance or Series being modified.
-
Cancel: Aborts the creation / editing of the Procedure Instance or Series, discarding any changes made on any tab.
