Configure Mobile Operator settings

Note: System configuration settings are transferred to the mobile devices through the synchronization server. Settings are global for all mobile devices that connect to the database.

General

Carry Over Notes

If checked, Notes entered on a Task or Task Group are available to the next Operator working the Procedure. That Operator will see the Note originally entered and can save it with or without modification.

Dedicated Device Mode

If selected, the single sign-on (SSO) is enabled for the mobile app. However, to implement the SSO, you must sign in to the mobile app at least once with the user credentials and perform a complete sync. This system setting is available at Tenant, Organization, and Plant levels.

Note:
- When the Dedicated Device Mode is enabled, the Auto Logoff feature and its settings will not work.
- Once the Dedicated Device Mode is disabled, for the Auto Logoff feature to work, the mobile operator must perform a full sync, log out, and log in again.

Default Group Status

Used in conjunction with "Default Navigation Option" only when "Default Group Status" is not selected. See "Default Group Status Explanation" below this table.

Downloaded Procedures Remain on Device2,3

If checked, Procedure Instances downloaded to AVEVA Mobile Operator will remain on the device after completion and transfer to the Sync Server. This significantly speeds the synchronization process since only modified Procedures are downloaded.

Galaxy WFC End Point Address

The address string used by AVEVA Mobile Operator to communicate wireless with the Wonderware Galaxy to retrieve or set data points.

Launched POD Assigned To1

This setting governs how Procedures On Demand (PODs) are assigned upon transfer from the Procedures On Demand tab to the Procedure tab. UserOrRole: User chooses USER or ROLE upon transfer. User: Assigned to the USER. Role: Assigned to the User’s currently selected ROLE.

Link Virtual Log To Note

Specifies whether a Note should also be saved as a Virtual Log entry. Select to "Never" or "Always" link if the Mobile user should not be able to decide, or select to "Default - Link" or "Default - Do not link" to set defaults that the Mobile user is prompted to accept or change when creating a Note.

Multiple Notes Enabled

If checked, the Multiple Notes capability of AVEVA Mobile Operator is enabled.

Mobile Attachment Allowed Extensions

Specify the File Type Restriction that are allowed to be added as an attachment during the Task, Task Groups and Work order execution. The file types can be specified by using comma as a separator (example: JPEG,PNG,GIF).

Standalone Work Request

If checked, the Mobile User may create Work Requests from within AVEVA Mobile Operator.

Work Order Request Maximum Attachment Size (MB)

Specify the total size of the attachments per Work Order Request form.

Camera Enabled

If checked, the camera interface is available on the Notes screen when you select the Add Note button within the Procedure on the mobile app.

1 If this setting is "2" and the Procedure and User share more than one Role setting, the user will choose which of the available Roles to use.

2 When this setting is changed, the Synchronization Service must be restarted.

3 The default and recommended selection for this setting is enabled.
