Move, Copy, and Invalid Action indicators

List and Procedure objects can be copied or moved to different, appropriate locations within the List or Procedure. During these operations, the mouse pointer will change to indicate whether a copy, move, or invalid operation is in process.

Tip: Copying and moving works between separate Procedures provided the target is valid.

  • When moving (with a normal drag-and-drop), the mouse pointer will bear a grey box beneath it as shown below.

  • When copying (by holding the CTRL key down while performing a drag-and-drop), the mouse pointer will bear both a grey box and a plus (+) sign, as in this example.

  • If the user attempts to copy or move an object to an invalid destination - for example, attempting to move a Task Group to a Child position of a Task - the mouse pointer will change to the prohibition, or "universal no," sign as in the example below.
