Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short range communication device that enables asset tagging and tracking. Because NFC tags are small, common usage includes asset tracking of pumps, compressors, and rounds checkpoints throughout a facility.
The NFC integration allows the user to scan an NFC tag as an input to a Task. It allows for the use of all NFC readers that AVEVA Mobile Operator Android app supports.
The "NFC" Peripheral item allows for the use of all NFC/RFID HF readers on AVEVA Mobile Operator Android app. Examples of NFC field names include:
-
ofunctional_location_number
-
oequipment_asset_id
-
udate_last_inspection
-
uservice_tag
To create an NFC integration, drag the "NFC" icon from the Toolbox to the desired Task.
The "New NFC" item is selected, and the "NFC Integration" section beneath opens to the General tab.
