Pinning panels

The following example involves the Navigation Panel of the Management Center, although it also applies to the Properties Panel, as well as the Workload Graphs Panel in the Schedule Manager application. When used in this fashion, it is usually called the "Auto Hide" feature.
When "pinned" (
) the panel is always visible, and will (if necessary) resize the Workspace so that
the entire Workspace, and entire Panel, are both visible at the same time. This is
the default behavior of the Navigation Panel.

When "unpinned" (
), or when "Auto Hide" is enabled, the panel is collapsed into a tab. This is the
default behavior of the Properties panel.
The panel will reappear when the user hovers the mouse pointer over the tab. However, it will cover a portion of the workspace, and any window within.
Move the mouse pointer off the Panel itself, and it will collapse again.
To revert this setting, click the "Auto Hide" icon again.
Changes to the Auto Hide setting of the Navigation Panel, Properties Panel, and Graphs panel within Schedule Manager, are maintained on a per-user basis through the next login. Subsequent restarts of the Management Center will display these settings as the active user left them on last logout.
